This hand-blown vase comes alive with a unique combination of light cobalt and topaz gold. The two colors are gently folded together during the initial phase of the glassblowing process. The chemical composition of the two colors create an organic reaction resulting in a third tone. This subtle veil of gold has an elegant opacity that adds depth and complexity. The off-center form implies grace and subtle movement. Once the piece has cooled to room temperature, extensive carving with a diamond wheel creates lines and texture on the surface. A final etching with a sandblaster results in a soft and luminous satin finish. Suitable for use with flowers or as a stand-alone piece.
